The workshop includes:

– Small sessions with each other including role reversal

In this workshop, we focus on the aspect of breath and mindfulness in Shibari, emphasizing how conscious breathing can enhance the connection between partners. We will learn how different types of breath influence our nervous system and how we can actively use this knowledge in a shibari session to either increase the excitement and intensity or get into a more meditative and relaxed space.
For those open to try, there will be an introduction to breath control, where we learn how to restrict our partner’s breath in a safe way. Through this practice, some people experience very meditative and altered states of consciousness. We go slow and gently to ensure everyone’s safety.
After learning the essential shibari knots, there will be room to experiment and hold shibari sessions for each other in a guided container. It will be with clothes on and without involving sexuality.
You can come on your own or already with a partner you would like to share this experience with.
If you have Shibari ropes, please bring them along. For those who don’t, we will provide ropes to borrow or buy.
No previous experience is required.
