You start your way from the floor into the air by learning a two-rope takate-kote (also known as box tie) suitable for suspension. It is not as simple as it looks like, and we’ll focus on its safety and stability. You will repeat the exercise several times, each time learning from the inevitable mistakes, so that it gets better and better progressively.
Then you will learn how to build a safe suspension line on a ring and on a bamboo, and get some useful training routine to practice at home regularly, even without a partner!
You get familiar with these two ingredients during the workshop and at the end we’ll make a semi-suspension or even a full suspension, depending on the individual situation of each couple.
Education in a small group: max. 5 couples.
Level: all, including beginners.
It would be helpful for you to know shibari basics: consent, safety aspects, rope handling at bare minimum. Active partner should be able to tie hands using single or double column tie – it’s possible to refresh this knowledge at the beginning of the course though.

Language: English and German — mixed or one of the languages, depending on the group.
Number of participants: There will be 5 couples at maximum. If I have less than 3 couples registered a week before start, the workshop may be cancelled.
Bring at least five standard 7-8-meter-long shibari ropes if you have them. You can buy the ropes at my studio before the workshop as well — 25 CHF per piece of the high-quality jute rope.
